Fitness Diet - Shape Your Body For Health

Did you know that if you aren't following the right fitness diet a lot of your time in the gym is going to waste?

Don't get me wrong, the time you spend in the gym is necessary, but if you want your body to be sculpted and function properly on the inside and out you need to pay attention to your diet health, or what you are putting into your body.

Here are some recommendations to implement into your fitness diet. Bring these into your diet health everyday and you will see your fitness levels sky-rocket.

Organic Fruits and Vegetables

Organic fruits and vegetables are the most important food in any kind of diet. They have minimal fat, are loaded with vitamins and minerals and curb hunger pangs.

At least five portions of a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables a day is advisable. More fruit is recommended if you are a heavy weight-lifter or high caliber athlete as your muscles need to replace the sugar that is burned off during hard exercise.

Protein

Protein intake is vital to any fitness diet and is a very necessary part of anyone's diet health. You can get your protein from meat, eggs, and/or protein powders.

Protein should be ingested in the morning and after your work out (within 45 minutes of working out). For heavy weight lifters protein should also be ingested before bedtime and once in the middle of the night.

Proteins help:
* Replace and form new tissue (muscle building)
* Regulate the balance of water in your body
* Reduce stress and anxiety
* Transport oxygen and nutrients in your blood and cells
* Create a faster metabolism

High Fiber Food

High-fiber foods, such as legumes, cereals, and grains, help the digestive system run effectively so they are great for your fitness diet. Fiber foods also help in increasing energy levels and reducing hunger pangs.

Balance Your Fitness Diet

No matter what you do it is essential that you are getting a variety of food groups into your diet. Well-balanced diet health includes 55 % of calories from carbohydrates, 20 % from fat and 25% from protein will keep you healthy and able to work out well into old age.

How Often Should I Eat For Optimal Fitness Levels?

With a fitness diet it is best to eat five or six times a day, instead of two or three, and each time only eat something that is the size of your fist. This will increase your metabolism and keep your stomach from expanding in size.

As you start your fitness diet keep in mind that everyone is different, what gives someone else energy may not help you so much so be aware of what you are eating and how it makes you feel. Then only include the foods in your diet that make you feel good, or full of energy.
