Critic Cricket Reviews Chicken Little

How it all began:

It was a quite day in Oakey Oaks when the school bell suddenly begins to ring:

Run for your lives yells Chicken Little. You see .. he had found a piece of the sky .. and he didn’t want the people to die .. so he knew he had to try .. and now you know the reason why .. Chicken Little began to cry .. Run for your lives.

But instead of saving the day the ringing bell caused the people’s fears to soar .. and they didn’t know what for .. so they decided to get to the core .. of what was causing this uproar .. before they had to take anymore .. of this frenzied panic.

When things finally settled down .. the people gathered round .. to see what Chicken Little thought was profound .. but there was nothing there to be found .. even when they searched the ground .. so now everyone in town .. thinks Chicken Little is insane.

Chicken Little’s Dad:

Buck Cluck thought just my luck .. here I am stuck .. in a crazy little town .. where my son is looked at like a clown .. because no piece of sky could be found .. but if you ask me .. an acorn fell out of a tree .. and he didn’t have time to see .. what hit him on the head.

It’s been a whole year .. and I still have to fear .. that I will be able to overhear .. people’s gossip when they come near .. because the town people still belittle .. my son Chicken Little .. and I don’t want to get in the middle .. so I do what I can.

Chicken Little’s Friends:

Chicken Little’s best friend is a duck .. who looks like she’s been hit by a truck .. or maybe a hockey puck .. but that would be cruel you see .. she is as optimistic as can be .. by the way her name was Abby .. and she lets nothing get her down.

She has a secret crush .. on Chicken Little but that’s hush .. if anyone knew she’d blush .. so for now she just pretends .. that all they are is friends .. I wont tell you how it ends .. you’ll have to see it for yourself.

Chicken Little’s other friend is Fish Out of Water .. if he speaks to you don’t bother .. he will act it out .. until there’s no doubt .. so you’ll know what it’s about .. because no one can understand what he has to say.

Then there’s Runt of the Litter .. who’s nerves are a jitter .. let’s hope he’s not a quitter .. it doesn’t matter what the town’s people have to say .. he’s Chicken Little’s friend anyway. Runt is a pig .. compared to his friends he’s big .. and yet after all .. in his family he is quite small .. that’s why he’s called Runt of the Litter.

The Townspeople:

Foxy Loxy was popular by proxy .. who thought she was so moxy .. if you want to know why then don’t guess .. on the ball field she was a success .. it wasn’t by her style of dress .. with her skills she could impress .. and that’s how she could claim .. to be the best at the game .. you should see her in action.

She used her popularity to be cruel .. to the misfits who attended school .. she didn’t need much of a reason .. to carry on with her teasing .. once she started there was no pleasing .. so her cruelty kept coming without easing .. that is if you were not part of the in crowd.

Goosey Loosey would follow Foxy Loxy’s lead .. by participating in cruel deeds .. such as to belittle .. poor old Chicken Little .. she wanted to be Foxy Loxy’s best friend you see .. that is how she thought you got popularity .. so she made fun of the other kids.

Turkey Lurkey was a bit jerky .. who couldn’t be confused with being perky .. though he may of had a good heart .. he really wasn’t that smart .. and even though he is the mayor .. that doesn’t mean he has the backbone to be fair .. he tends to follow public opinion.

Let me get this straight:

The townspeople would belittle .. poor ol Chicken Little .. because no piece of sky could be found .. anywhere on the ground .. and his dad Buck Cluck .. thinks he has bad luck .. and even though it’s been a whole year .. he is still able to overhear .. people’s gossip when they come near.

Chicken Little’s best friend is a duck .. whose face is as ugly as muck .. then there’s Fish out of Water .. if he speaks to you don’t bother .. and don’t forget about Runt of the Litter .. whose nerves are a jitter .. and Foxy Loxy .. who was popular by proxy .. could easily proclaim .. to be the best at the game .. but who is Critic Cricket, oh wait that’s me .. I’m the one sitting here watching the movie.

The ball game:

Chicken Little joined little league .. with aspirations to succeed .. if he could be spectacular in front of a crowd .. then he would make his father proud .. but this was not a cinch .. because he just sat on the bench .. and now the season is down to the last game .. when everything is about to change .. because Chicken Little is put in to bat.

It’s the bottom of the ninth and down to the last out .. just stand there and don’t swing the coach began to shout .. with Foxy Loxy pitching on the mound .. Chicken Little will be lucky to hit the ball on the ground .. much less hit it hard enough to make a sound .. but Chicken Little is not about to back down.

Change of luck:

Buck Cluck thought what a change of luck .. my son’s best friend is still a duck .. but now I’m not stuck .. in a town where my son is a zero .. because now he is the hero .. and all this was done .. with an inside the park home run .. now I can hold my head up high .. and get pass that missing piece of the sky .. that could not be found .. because it was not really around .. so let’s forget the whole thing ever happened.

Here we go again:

Later on that night .. while his whole world was filled with delight .. Buck Cluck thought to himself, oh dear .. what is this I overhear .. I think I want to sit down and cry .. my son has found another piece of the sky .. and if word of this gets out .. the town will ridicule, no doubt .. I’ll have to hang my head once again in shame .. while the townspeople proclaim .. that my son Chicken Little is insane .. like they did before he became the hero.

Conclusion:

The movie has a unique twist on the piece of sky that is not generally associated with the traditional story of Chicken Little or The Sky is Falling so if you want to find out what this particular twist is then you will have to see the movie for yourself. I don’t think that it will be giving too much of the ending away to say that Chicken Little is not as crazy as the town thinks he is.
