The Connection Between Chocolate And Sex

Chocolate has been associated with sex for the longest time. The connection between chocolate and sex may have started as far back as the Aztecs times when their rulers were given a chocolate brew before they entered their harem chambers. This is one of the earliest times that chocolate and sex were ever brought together and recorded. To this day, the connection and comparison of chocolate and sex is there and strong as ever.

Chocolate As An Aphrodisiac

Chocolate is supposed to be an aphrodisiac but the foundations of this belief may be all in the mind. The connection between chocolate and sex is indeed in the mind as an aphrodisiac. This is because an element or substance, namely phenylethylamine, in chocolate stimulates the feel good sensations in us. Phenylethylamine is a substance that our body naturally produces when we are in love. This in itself shows the connection of chocolate and sex, it makes one feel good all over of makes one feel in love. Eating chocolate mimics the feeling of being in love which explains why a lot of people head for the chocolate counters when they are depressed or stressed.

Serotonin and dopamine are other substances present in chocolate that also puts one in a good mood and eases pain. Theobromine is another element found in chocolate that promotes a better mood. This particular substance can be lethal to some animals because they process chocolate differently compared to people.

Chocolate And Sex Play

The fact that chocolate and sex are very stimulating makes people like to bring them together. Sometimes eating chocolate the conventional way is not enough for some people. Mixing chocolate and sex can be a very stimulating experience as well as help couples indulge in their fantasies.

Melted chocolate is a very useful thing to have when contemplating making love with your partner. You just have to make sure that the temperature is not scalding enough to do harm when it is poured on the skin. Warm chocolate is more stimulating than cold which is why a lot of couples use warm chocolate rather than cold chocolate. If you prefer cold then it is up to your preferences.

Chocolate can be used as foreplay by pouring over parts of the body for stimulation or using fruits to put it in the navel the lips or other parts of the body. Mixing together chocolate and sex can be invigorating for couples and add a new dimension to your sex life.
