In the Northwest Suburbs, boot camps for kids are becoming more popular. During the summer the majority of parents are at work and more kids are sitting at home instead of participating in outdoor activities. In a recent study, the majority of kids ages 12-15 are spending their summer days in front of the computer, watching movies and television, and shopping at the malls. These sedentary activities are creating bad fitness habits and not teaching young America the importance of exercise and staying fit. You could be working in pairs or small groups; either way your children are learning the importance of working within teams and meeting new people. These boot camp programs are specifically designed for kids and teens of the same age competing to stay fit while at boot camp. Working with groups of peers takes away the element of boredom commonly found in the summertime when the parents of the Northwest Suburbs are away at work. A healthy habit of fitness and exercise is created while at bootcamp and hopefully these habits will be reinforced at home and again when school starts in the fall. It also puts your children in a positive and uplifting environment keeping them out of trouble so you can focus more at work.

Kids will learn a positive self-image at a young age giving them more confidence in school and in groups of their peers. Physical fitness boot camps for kids and teens will decrease long-term risks of obesity, diabetes and other cardiovascular diseases that are increasing yearly. Bootcamps will speed up their metabolisms and help them sleep better so they have more energy to be active.
