The Great Benefits of Reward Based Credit Cards

Credit cards are widely used nowadays to purchase lots of stuff. It may be from a gallon of gasoline to a plane ticket and even a car. The limitations of these cards are endless; you just have to use your imagination. Because of this, almost all banks now offer a credit card plan. Since the competition is fierce and the demand is so high, this made way for the creditors to give back to the debtors. The tool that they used is the reward system of credit cards. It simply means that the more you use the card, the more benefits you get from them. Here are a few rewards that you may get from having a credit card.

First on the list is the cash back reward. Cash back reward is a credit card reward where you, the cardholder receive 0.5% to 2% of your net expenditures. This is solved by purchases minus the refunds. You get this as an annual rebate from the bank or the creditor.

Gift vouchers. Creditors give out gift vouchers as a reward which can be exchanged into items of different kinds.

Gas rebates. This reward is present in gas cash back cards. This has become very popular to the consumers because of the ever increasing prices of gasoline. This is also called the Gas rebate card. The companies who provide the Gas rebate card provide an average of 3% Annual percentage rate on gas cards.

Air miles. Air miles are mostly given as a reward for airline credit cards. Using this reward, you can travel with discounts if not for free.

Travel rewards. This kind of reward gives you travel related services and goods which include discounts in hotel occupation. You may also use this so you can save on car rental services. You can also upgrade classes from economy class to business class using this kind of reward.

Reward points. When you accumulate enough reward points, you may exchange it for many kinds of rewards such as travel, gas rebates, gift vouchers, air miles and all the other things I have mentioned above.

Who are the people most suited in getting these rewards? The ones who repay their balance in full at the end of each month are the ones who are very much suited to get the rewards. This is so because these people are not charged with additional interest. If you still have a balance at the end of each month, the interest would be of much larger amount compared to the reward.

So having a credit card is not just about purchases and payments in banks plus the interest. The creditors or the bank also give importance to the consumers in the form of rewards. Just remember that in order to enjoy these benefits and privileges, you must also be a good payer to your creditors. They will treat you with great importance if you treat them with great importance also. Always remember that delinquents especially in paying debts are very rarely rewarded.
