Vacations are meant for people to relax, unwind and leave their responsibilities behind. Unfortunately, once you are an adult, it takes a lot of preparation to accomplish each of these things. You have to ensure your home is safe, your pets are cared for and your work life is able to be put on hold, or at least function without you present for the days you are away.
