Tamsen Fadal: Well we are coming to you from New York Underground Fitness in Midtown Manhattan. Why you will ask all, we are getting a lot of fitness questions recently. Matt Titus: Really. Tamsen Fadal: People getting in shape, I guess for winter time. Matt Titus: Well, everyone has to look good to be in love, absolutely? Tamsen Fadal: Alright. Dear Matt and Tam, my wife and I have been thinking about joining a health club. The last couple of times we tried this, we wasted a lot of money because we never seem to get there. I understand that. I need suggestions on how we can make a good choice in joining a health club that we actually go to where we can achieve our goals as well? It's a good question. Matt Titus: You really have to be smart, think about your daily routine and what you guys do. Make sure the health club is very close to where you work or that where you live. That's so important. And then decide on when are you going to work out? Are you going do it in the morning before work, after work or on the weekend? My suggestion is try to get it done before work. The day at its start, you can focus, that's an easy way to get in a work out in without complication for the day; because you never know what's going to happen during the day especially if you have kids. Tamsen Fadal: Yeah I agree, now also decide what the health club offers. A lot of the health clubs offers like all these bells and whistles steam rooms and sauna and swimming pools, but if you are not going to use any of those things, you might be better off going some place that is a little bit a smaller in your neighborhood and you actually can probably save some money in the long run. Matt Titus: Make sure they have the optional group fitness because classes can be really fun especially for the lady. Tamsen Fadal: Yoga, Pilate.
