Growing Interests in Cancer Survivorship One of the really important subjects today is survivorship. We have record numbers of people surviving cancer, all types of cancer in the United States, and they’re surviving for years, and always on the back of their mind, “Will my cancer come back?” But then, there are some of the long term consequences of the treatment of their cancer. And the quality of life issues related to their past treatments, and just how do I go forward from here. And so, more and more work is being done to help patients who are three years, five years, ten year, 15 years, 20 years from surviving of the breast, breast cancers or any other cancers.
